It's another happy day for Filipinos as the Puerto Princesa Underground River National Park made it to the list of Provisional New 7 Wonders of Nature. The announcement was made by Bernard Weber, Founder and President of New&Wonders Campaigns on Friday, November 11, 2011.
Following is the complete list of the Provisional New 7 Wonders of Nature in alphabetical order.
1. Amazon Rainforest – Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, Venezuela
2. Halong Bay – Vietnam
3. Iguazu Falls – Argentina, Brazil
4. Jeju Island – South Korea
5. Komodo National Park – Indonesia
6. Puerto Princesa Underground River – Philippines
7. Table Mountain – South Africa
This is the result of the initial vote count which will be checked, validated and independently verified. Confirmed winners will be announced starting early 2012 during the Official Inauguration ceremonies.
